In Search of a New Labcoat

I've been browsing the collections for a new labcoat. The absolute number one thing imperative to operating a lab such as mine is: Attire. If one doesn't look elegant, one doesn't feel elegant, and one is more apt to make mistakes.

Observe:

Though this Giambattista Valli is dramatic and wholly impractical for wear during lab work, it's fabulous.

This Hussein Chalayan has exquisite lines/seaming/pleating.

Akris. Typical lab coat but beautifully cut. If something is just what it is,

but with a great cut, you can't go wrong!

This YSL is ultra chic and feminine, complete with utilitarian pockets!

Something about this Tim Hamilton lab coat/bodysuit conjures warm feelings in my chest.

I think it may be something akin to love?

This article is spot on and fabulously true (though far too short!). I currently am completely obsessed with all kinds of aspects of science, as well as space and symbolism. All important topics to be fairly knowledgeable in- they will enhance your life here on earth exponentially, I guarantee it!

After watching a recent news report ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vZArebYZzdc ), I've decided it is now safe to introduce my patented modern makeup marvel Mercury Skin Powder into the US market (copyright Dr. J.S. Lovecraft- please write for further information- hits drugstore shelves June 2010). I've been testing the toxicity levels on young women ages 14-25. Out of my 457 trials, 98.2% of my subjects have died. However, they were the most stunning 448.7 deaths I have ever witnessed:

Isn't she fabulous?? This proves my hypothesis that form will always trump function.
This is now a scientific fact.

Preserving Specimens for Study [of Beauty]

In order to insure quality and consistency in your research, it is important to invest the time in finding the proper grade of specimen. In doing such, I find that it helps to consult only the best sources-- in example: McQueen, Rodarte, Chanel, and of course, Lanvin. It is also wise to focus on specific elements, and in doing so, the face retains an unmatched glow. It will decorate your shelf very nicely.

1) Rodarte: a tinge of plum mixed with the macabre equals high intensity without flash.

2 & 5) Alexander McQueen: Sometimes it is necessary to wrap the head in order to maintain integrity. I suggest netting as it creates a rather dramatic modernity, as well as play with the placement of hair.

3) Lanvin: Eyes are the window to the soul, didn’t you know? A heavy curtain adds intrigue.

4) Chanel: forever a great in all areas of fashion. Perfectly timed elegance never goes out of style.
